About the role
We are seeking a highly autonomous engineer excited about owning the design and implementation of core features and infrastructure. Given the size of the team, you will be touching all parts of the stack.
Responsibilities
- Craft intuitive interfaces that allow non-technical users to leverage AI in their work
- Explore the cutting edge capabilities of LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and AI agents. Own development projects from research and prototyping through production
- Evolve the tech stack and architecture to scale to our growing customer base’s needs
- Contribute to the creation of the team culture, as well as internal tooling and processes
This is a high impact, high agency role with direct effect on company culture, trajectory, and outcome.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in computer science, or related degree
- 3+ years of experience building and scaling successful software projects, ideally independently or as a part of a small team or early-stage startup
- In-person 4-5 days/week in NYC office strongly preferred
- Self-directed, curious, fast-paced personality with strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
- Familiarity with our stack. ****Our stack is currently Node, React and Postgres and everything is written in Typescript
Nice to haves
- Experience working in fields like recommendation systems, natural language processing, applied machine learning, large scale production search/ranking system or other related systems
